The White House confirmed the visit, which will center on the administration’s new Trump Accounts investment program for children, a policy Trump announced earlier this month.
“President Trump is giving every American child a head start in life, a nest egg to grow up with, and a real stake in their own future through Trump Accounts,” White House spokeswoman Liz Huston said in a statement.
Wheeler High School, located in Marietta, is part of the Cobb County School District and serves more than 2,300 students in grades 9-12.
The Trump Accounts program, established under the tax and spending package Trump signed into law earlier this year, sets up government-seeded investment accounts for children. The accounts legally belong to a minor but can only be managed by a parent or guardian until the child comes of age. Government seed money and contributions from state and local governments and nonprofit organizations do not count toward the program’s $5,000 annual contribution cap.
